Everything You'll Have Covered

What is the water cycle?

~ The water cycle is a process through which Earth's water supply is continually used and resupplied.

What role does the sun play in the water cycle?

~ In the water cycle, the heat of the sun's rays warms the surface of the oceans and other bodies of water. As a result, this surface water evaporates into the air as water vapor.

What happens during the condensation part of the water cycle?

~ As water is evaporated into the air, it gets cooler as it rises and turns into little droplets of water that eventually form clouds. This process is called condensation.

What are some of the types of precipitation that bring water back to Earth after condensation?

~ Some types of precipitation that bring water back to Earth after condensation include rain, snow, sleet, and hail.
