Now You Know

After completing this tutorial, you will be able to complete the following:

  • Find the length of a line segment.
  • Know that two line segments are congruent if and only if their lengths are equal.

Everything You'll Have Covered

What is the length of a line segment?

~ The length of a line segment is the distance between its endpoints.

Which pairs of line segments from problem 2 are congruent?

~ Two line segments are congruent if and only if their lengths are equal. In problem 2, we found the length of each line segment. We notice that only segments LK and NL have the same length (3 units). Thus, NL and LK are congruent line segments and no other pairs of line segments are congruent.
